AML1/ETO
AML 1 gene (exon 5) on chromosome 21 and the ETO gene on chromosome 8 (exon 2), resulting in a AML1-ETO fusion transcript. In general, these cases respond to chemotherapy and have high complete remission rates; although the presence of CD56 and KIT mutations confer poorer prognosis.
